In the midst of uncertainty..

Often in life, we feel like we are living in a whirlwind of emotions, unsure of what the future holds. I know for me, I have been trying to plan my life and have just been hoping God would approve. Anyone else? A few months ago, I had a plan, a set in stone plan, told friends and family, but God had other plans for my life in this season. In this time of sadness on my plans falling through. I felt God speaking to me and telling me that He has this. Even though it was devastating and not something I ever thought would happen, God gave me joy, not a temporary emotion but a deep-rooted joy. Not because of my circumstances but because I could feel Him wrapping his arms around me saying “I have other plans for you better than you can imagine.” and He revealed a few verses to me Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.” and Isaiah 43:18-19 “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Friends, HOW AMAZING IS THAT TRUTH. God has a plan for our futures so we don’t have to be consumed with fear and anxiety. We can rest in the fact that God has already planned your tomorrow.

  1. How very timely that I read this. Just this morning a dear friend received news that her son in law has cancer. The kids have only been married 15 months! What a journey in front of them. Trials through fire, for sure. Thank you for the reminder that He is here in the midst of it, working a plan we do not fully understand.
